VEIL OF ISIS-
Through the tactile process of collage, I perform an act of "spiritual assembly." layering contemporary photography with historical fragments and organic textures to bridge the divide between the ancestral and the modern to mirror the interconnectedness of all living beings; My materials are gathered and repurposed, my subjects embody a synthesis of global indigenous wisdom and transcendence. By integrating the discipline of the samurai with the compassion of the Bodhisattva, the work proposes a new iconography of power—one rooted in both fierce protection and radical empathy. By bridging cultural divides—from the waters of Yemaya to the mindfulness of Zen- the Black woman is a guardian of the future and a mirror of the divine, inspiring a shift toward a more mindful, empathetic, and ecologically harmonized existence.
